Farbschnitte bei Büchern beziehen sich auf die farbige Gestaltung der Schnittkanten eines Buchblocks. Normalerweise sind die Seitenränder eines Buches weiß oder in der Farbe des Papiers gehalten, aber bei einem Farbschnitt werden diese Kanten in einer bestimmten Farbe eingefärbt. Dies kann einfarbig oder mit Mustern und Designs geschehen. Farbschnitte verleihen einem Buch eine besondere ästhetische Note und machen es zu einem Hingucker im Bücherregal.
