A premade book cover is a pre-made design that I have created in advance, without a specific story or author in mind. These covers are usually less expensive than bespoke designs and offer a quick solution for authors who are either pressed for time or on a limited budget. In my premade portfolio, I offer a variety of premade covers that cover different genres and moods.
When an author chooses one of my premade covers, I customize it by adding the title of the book, the author's name, and if necessary, other text elements such as subtitles or quotes. Small changes are also possible. Premade book covers are therefore an efficient and cost-effective option for authors who value quality but cannot or do not want to invest in a fully personalized design process. As a designer, they also allow me creative freedom and the opportunity to offer my work to a wider audience.
It is important to stress that each premade cover is unique; once it has been sold, I remove it from the offer. This way the design remains exclusive to the buyer. This ensures that despite being premade, each book retains its own visual identity.

A custom book cover is a bespoke calling card for any literary work. A custom book cover is designed specifically for a specific book, with me working closely with the author to ensure the design captures the essence of the story and appeals to the target audience.
The process begins with a detailed briefing: I listen to the author's ideas, discuss important themes, symbols and motifs of the book and learn more about the desired style. I often also read an excerpt or summary of the text to develop a deep understanding of the work.
I then begin the conceptual design process. This involves choosing color schemes, fonts, and images that reflect the genre and tone of the book. I create one draft (or several if required, at an additional cost) . This draft is then discussed with the author and refined until a final design is decided upon.
A custom cover is unique and exclusive to the book in question. It takes into account all aspects of the author's content and marketing strategy. The details are carefully crafted - from typography to image composition - to ensure that the cover is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also remains competitive in the market.
The end result is a cover that not only impresses visually, but also creates an emotional connection with the potential reader, thus supporting the sales success of the book. As a designer, I find deep fulfillment in this creative process, as each individual cover presents a new challenge and requires my ability to tell visual stories that are as unique as the book itself.
